Dr. Shahzad Khan is a senior researcher working at DISTIL Interactive,
Ottawa, Canada. Shahzad studied computational linguistics at Cambridge
University (UK) and has extensive experience in artificial
intelligence, computational linguistics, web technologies and
analytics modelling.
Shahzad is a passionate user of open source tools and has been
involved with FLOSS from the FreeBSD day (predating Linux).
Shahzad's industry experience focuses on computational modeling
approaches to understanding human learning, language, and behavior,
which he continues with his work on creating automated assessment
capabilities for DISTIL's products. Shahzad is also responsible for
DISTIL's research efforts to automate and streamline game content
creation via AI based scalable programmatic methods.
Shahzad regularly posts updates on his work at DISTIL on his blog at
textai.blogspot.com, and would welcome opportunities to collaborate
with individuals or groups working on assessment in serious games or
AI based method for content creation in meaningful games and
simulations. He is also deeply interest in sentiment analysis and user
profiling techniques for online social media.
