Cistel Technology Inc. has an immediate requirement for a Linux
Architect.

 

The Linux Architect will conduct an audit of Linux infrastructure and
review the EDA environment, Gap analysis and make recommendations and
presentations to management.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

*	Conduct a thorough audit of the existing Linux Computing
Infrastructure 

 

*	During and after having collected sufficient background
knowledge with respect to the existing Linux Computing Infrastructure -
take the lead role for all Linux based infrastructure support including
end user support.

 

*	Working with the EDA/CAD Support Engineer, conduct a review of
the EDA requirements going forward as they pertain specifically to the
Linux Computing Infrastructure.

 

*	Perform a gap analysis identifying, documenting and proposing
alternate infrastructure upgrade path(s) in support of the EDA
requirements going forward.

 

*	Prepare and deliver a presentation (audience to be later
defined) which includes a summary gap analysis.  

 

*	Based on feedback from the gap analysis presentation, and upon
approval by the Network Manager, implement all approved recommendations.


 

*	Define, implement and document regular maintenance, service and
backup processes.  Ensure that these processes are operating
effectively.

 

*	Once environment has stabilized and regular processes are in
place, prepare an analysis of required support level effort to maintain
all systems and to keep all processes up to date including responding to
user support issues.
