Bell and Sympatico seem somewhat at odds with each other. One will sell
you something that the other can't provide and vice versa. I was sold
5mbit service by Sympatico while the Bell tech that I spoke with (who
was out on call) told me that they whole area was only capable of 3mbit.
Knowing full well that I'd be getting less than I was promised I waited
a few weeks then called Sympatico and complained that I wasn't getting
5mbit service. I've been paying 31.01 with modem rental and after taxes
for the last year and a half or so now.

The kicker...? They came and upgraded the neighbourhood to 5mbits about
a month after I called and complained -- my bill hasn't changed though
:) They are large enough to be easily taken advantage of given enough of
a lack of scruples.
