Hmm? Atheros-based devices had full support last time I used the
madwifi drivers. madwifi has been around for several years now. I
ran a CardBus D-Link card for a year or so under madwifi.
Mind you, I have no idea what their support for your particular card
is, but madwifi itself is pretty mature (relatively speaking), and is
even now being used as the wireless stack of choice by some other
development efforts.

Only ever seen D-Link doing this. But then, I haven't been in the
market for a new card in a long time. 54 MBps may be a better bet.
