I have a solution.  Make me the MC.  The audience behaviour will 
improve immediately.

My proposal: etiquette violators will be warned once, then asked to 
leave, and if they repeat, they will be forcibly ejected[1].

[1] - those objecting to these tactics need to not reply saying it's 
over-reaction.  I'm serious about this.  It's the only way to handle 
the rude behaviour.
