I was wondering about this. It seemed to me the most logical answer
was that Sympatico would not allow Sympatico addresses to be used to
send mail to their users from the outside. Sorry for not voicing
this earlier.
A possible, non-moronic, non-nefarious answer I can see would be that
a lot of incoming viruses or spam may pretend to be coming from the
user (or another sympatico.ca user) and that this is actually for
protection of their users.
