Don't install a bootloader at all.  Install linux in a spare partition
and when you want to boot Linux use a GRUB floppy disk (or CDROM) to boot
from the spare partition.  You'll need to set up your machine so that
it chooses to boot from floppy before hard drive, which is a security
risk if someone leaves an infected floppy in your machine across a reboot.
