What follows are some notes from experience:
A friend of mine has that same card and eventually had to stop using it
for output (still used for input though) due to a few reasons, bugtastic
kernel and X drivers, no XV in X, and a large amount of overscan on the
tv-out. He eventually got a cheap nvidia card to do tv-out with which
works very well. That card also appears to have an allergy for VIA
chipsets.
