[oclug] [OT] linux laptop

I've been looking around online for prices on slightly older
linux subnotebooks.  I'm looking at systems like the sharp mm10:

700MHz - 1GHz processor (the mm10 has a transmeta), at *least*
128MB RAM, at least 10GB HD, wireless (b or g)

So far, the mm10 is looking like my best choice, but I have two
problems:

1) Because I don't want the new models, so I can't go through
something like emperorlinux.com

2) I'd prefer to avoid the MS tax

What's my best bet to get '02-'04 era notebooks, assuming I don't
want to mess with ebay?
