The very best program was called CoolEdit. It was bought by Adobe and is
now called Studio.

There are others and I've tried them but CoolEdit was in my view the very
best.

Subject: [oclug] tape to CD

Hello everyone:
A friend has a number of music tapes that he
wants to convert to CDs. He knows that once the
music is in a computer, then burning a CD is the
easy part.
His problem - how does he transfer his music
from the audio tapes to the computer? I believe
he does have a sound card in his machine.
	Any ideas or suggestions?
Cheers,
Mike
