[oclug] Lexar Secure problem

I installed FlashLinux on a Lexar JumbDrive Secure, a 256M unit. I can
actually boot from the little USB drive. I had some adjustments to do,
and I found that the distro does not carry simple tools like telnet, but
this can be fixed. I now want to install it on other larger USB
devices.............................

You will want to check:

I did a Presentation for our local LUG that can be found here
(Kpresenter
format)

The big issue is whether your system BIOS supports booting from USB.
There are boot images for floppy or CD if not but be aware of it. It
took me three boot images before I got the right one.

Sorry, can't help with the format issue. My USB drive just works. I
would Google for anyone successfully formatting such a drive. I know
that with digital cameras, you want to format the removeable memory with
the camera it will live in otherwise the filesystem becomes unusable for
that device. Don't know if this applies to USB media.
