It might be possible to do that, but according to the by-laws, there is a
process that requires discussion at the next board meeting, so it
shouldn't be possible to do that at the door of the vote. The process, if
you want to be sure, is to send an e-mail requesting membership, including
your personal contact information, to the Secretary of the Board
(currently Richard Guy Briggs). It's supposed to be ratified at the next
board meeting.
