I'm sure picking a good song, and learning a little dance step to go 
with it might enhance your desire to "sing up" for the board.  I might 
suggest "Summertime" from Porgy & Bess, as it has worked quite well for 
people on "reality" tv talent shows.

I'd like to videotape your audition for posterity if you choose to go 
through with this.
