talking to it from Linux. It's in the debian package pilot-link,
together with a tool pilot-schlep (that I've never tried personally):
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PILOT-SCHLEP(1) User Commands
PILOT-SCHLEP(1)
NAME
pilot-schlep - Package up any arbitrary file and sync it to
your Palm
device
DESCRIPTION
Package up any arbitrary file and sync it to your Palm device
[...]
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So this together with something like filez would do what you need.
Then, there is a smb client for Palm OS. That might be another
solution. I don't know a link, but it was just today talked about on
comp.sys.palmtops.pilot
And finally, I am not sure if using a card reader would help - is the
pilot using a vanilla FAT filesystem, or something proprietary? (Not
that FAT would not be proprietary...)
