I think the admin is being a little bit over-reactive myself.

Yup.  That's probably where it started.  The problem seems to be that your
mail configuration believed *it* was the sdf.lonestar.org system.  I
haven't been able to follow along very closely because I've been quite
busy at work, but it seems to me that you're taking reasonable steps to
fix the situation.  If the admin doesn't come around really soon and
co-operate himself, like sending you one of the messages so you can see
for yourself what happened, just dump them.  It's not worth it.  Find
another mail provider that's a little more reasonable and a lot less anal
retentive.

That's my advice anyway.
