The License refers to the frequency of their network. RipNet has a
microwave frequency assigned to them. It's a good move in a way, but does
not increase the reliability of the network connection all that much in
the real world. e.g. My problems with wireless have never been with the
wireless equipment, but with the ISP itself.

Digital Networks has been using Lynksys equipment it appears. On your
roof is a passive antenna... which is basically a tin can with a slightly
parabolic rear surface covered in plastic to keep out the rain. The
"radio" is a Lynksys Wireless Bridge, so if you want to sell it, your
customer would more likely be someone who wanted to extend their lan.
They'd need two of the devices.
