[oclug] what linux distro do you use?

Back in 1998, I started with RedHat 5.1 only because impatience got
the best of me. (I use alot of low-end hardware and was required to
create only one install floppy for RedHat instead of a half dozen for
either Debian or Slackware.) When RPM dependency issues really
started to grate on me, I started using a utility called rpmfind,
which was very apt/dpkg like in functionality. I switched to Debian
out of frustration with bloat in RedHat. I was at RH 7.0 and a
"minimal" install was around 600MB. Since then I found that Debian is
much leaner and more responsive due to a package management solution
that is much more elegant. Stable is stable and has never given me
cause for worry. I've been hosed once since I switched to unstable
when a lilo upgrade messed everything up. BTW, I run it on three
different processor architectures (Intel, PA-RISC and ARM).

Cheers,
BB
