[oclug] Two mice?

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone could help me out with this.  I have 2 mice on my laptop -
one is a USB optical (<plug>Gyration mouse - very cool, have a look
www.gyration.com</plug>) and the other is the touchpad on the laptop (so
PS/2).  The issue is that sometimes (ie 85% of the time) I forget to put my
mouse on the recharge cradle prior to leaving work.  This means that for 1/2
the next day I can't use my mouse.  However, I *hate* the touchpad cause I
keep hitting it while I'm typing and it messes me right up.  

So I need to have them both easily accessible but I would like to have the
touchpad disabled so long as the USB reciever isn't plugged in.  Is there a
way to tell X (and it's ok if I have to log out and back in for this to take
effect) to disable the PS/2 mouse so long as there's a USB one detected, but
to enable it if there isn't?
