Thin client.  Thin client.  Solutions to allow this sort of thing have
been around as long as Unix and X have been around.

Did I mention thin client.

Oh, and using thin client you are not limited to 4 displays either.

I can see value in the HP Multi-user 441 but a thin client approach is
more flexible and more expandable.

I did a thin client SpeedGeek demo at Penguin Day in Toronto last weekend.
It went off really well.

In my experience the big challenge with using thin clients is not getting
them to do what you want, it is proving to people that it really is
possible to share a modern computer among many users.  Certain large
companies have done a great job of convincing almost everyone that each
user needs their own computer on the desktop.  They do not.
