This really isn't an issue, if you aren't maxing out your upstream whilst
communicating.  You can obviously manage what upstream traffic gets
priority.

80k/sec is plenty for a single SIP.. even for two.. or more!  Depends upon
the compression and codec used, obviously.  8k codecs are all many
cell phones employ.  Heck, I've even seen someone using VOiP over GPRS on
an IPAQ. GRPS speed seems to fluctuate more than the dollar, so I was
impressed.
