[oclug] Alternatives to IStop?

Brad,
I have picked up from the threads above that you are generally unwilling to
recommend IStop :-)
I am more than willing to believe that you have had many, many, problems
with them, and don't need these repeated...
However, I have missed somewhere in the thread your recommendation for an
alternative... could you re-post it please?
Two different scenarios:
1: (Current requirement) All my websites and my mailserver are hosted in the
States, and I'm not worried about changing them. I just need a basic ADSL
connectivity ISP that allows HTTP, FTP, IRC, SIP/VOIP traffic outbound...
(note that I use an externally hosted SIP gateway, so don't need a static
IP.
2: (Future requriement) I may want to host an Asterisk server internally, so
would need a static IP address and the ability to receive SIP/VOIP traffic
from externally-initiated connections without using an external SIP gateway.
Obviously, recommendations from people who aren't Brad are welcome also....
