The FAQs page says NA will never do anything or send any information to 
Sympatico without first asking.  There is no reason to disbelieve that.

The trouble is that claims and statements are so vaguely worded I can 
only wonder whether it is corporate-lawyerly caution to offer nothing 
whatsoever, or if it is weaselly subtrifuge.  One can easily imagine the 
same kind of vague wording on a request to send a complete inventory of 
one's system plus the contents of possible password-, passkey-, and 
license-files.  "Upload information?"
