Hi Brad,
I know you don't like IStop, and doubtless you have your reasons.
I'm just telling it like it is -- from my perspective. IStop has really
improved over the last year or so. I SSH from work into my home box
every day, and I can count the number of times on one hand that my
connection has gone down, and not come back up minutes later. Since I'm
not running a business or mission critical website, I can live with this
-- it's no biggie.
If people want a low-cost static IP that supports Linux and has a
tolerant server policy, then I think IStop does a decent job. If, OTOH,
people are looking for uber-reliability, then go to Magma or some such.
You'll pay more, but you'll get more reliable broadband. IStop is a
decent bargain ISP IMO...
TTYL,
Have Fun with GNU/Linux,
Raymond
