Man, the rate at which I am forgetting things, I'll be senile by last
Tuesday. Some might argue before then..
I was looking at a map of Waterloo yesterday on Mapquest. All this
nostalgia was prompting me to lookup all the addresses I used to live
at. In the total of seven years that I lived in Kitchener-Waterloo (with
a three year hiatis when persued my Masters someplace else) I must have
lived in eight different places. I've forgotten the address of at least
two of them, I couldn't find three others without the help of the
address lookup feature (one of those prompted me to silently exclaim,
"that isn't right") and in trying to find one of the remaining addresses
I confused Erb Street with Euclid Avenue. Oh yes, and then I thought the
curve on Phillip Street was almost right at Columbia. I used to live
quite close to that curve.
It gets worse. I remember the last time I was in Sudbury, the town I
grew up in. I was driving my mother to visit an old friend of the family
and I couldn't remember how to get there.
I guess the stroke I had in 1998 (or was it 1999?) took out more than I
thought.

Just because humans have the the ability to speak
does not mean that they possess a higher intelligence,
as the content of what they talk about amply demonstrates.
