I'm talking about the part you snipped :
Someone using your email service and name has been, for weeks, objecting
vehemently to Bill Gates' leadership.
You are allowing your (neo)Platonist perceptions to blind you to the
beam in your eye.
Go surf around in SourceForge; browse the associated news lists and
wikis. A sentence which you will see over and over is, "If you want
[whatever] do it yourself."
Gandhiji used to say something like that when he was objecting to
British leadership in India. The people who gather in their tens of
thousands for Social Fora, in their thousands for Campesina and Farmers
movements, all say something like that. When Marcos says leaders must
learn to follow and good governments are obedient governments, he is
saying something like that. When the quiet anarchists turn their backs
on Disney and McDonalds, they are saying something like that.
Open Source is the biggest highest-tech anarchist movement ever.
Sheep follow their leaders right in the slaughterhouse door.
People don't need leaders. Leaders need followers.
