[oclug] gpg: checking the trustdb

Does anyone know why GnuPG insists on checking the trustdb so damn
often, burning up my CPU and my time?

gpg: next trustdb check due at 2004-07-27

That's in 3 days, but it's checking again and again for every key I try
to edit.
