Unfortunately, I've never had the same game play experience under Linux
compared to the same game dual-booted on windows.  The closest I came was
the native UT and Quake3 under Linux.  However, I always end up back with
windows for some reason.  Usually it was poor frame rates.  Sometimes it
was game play related (sound, mouse feel, etc).  Every now and then I'll
try it again.  I've never tried WineX so I can't say if it is better.

I don't really tweak either of my OSes/Wine so it is possible that you can 
tweak out any frame rate issues.  I do keep my drivers up-to-date though.

Try it out though, you might have more luck then I did.
