[oclug] AGP Card on ECS K7VMM+ (success)

I actually got around to troubleshooting this card again and got is working. It appeared that the card couldn't be insterted any more, but I stuck my fingers under the edge of the motherboard to stabilize it and applied pressure down on the card with my thumb. With a slight push there was a noticable click as the card went in further. Problem solved. Had I not supported the motherboard, I would have cracked it - that is how stiff the AGP slot was. ECS K7VMM+ owners, beware.
Thanks for all of your suggestions,
BB
PS: There is no comparison between the nVidia image quality and that of the on-board Via chipset. The nVidia is so much better. Perhaps Via will improve with the next version of XFree86.

Thanks for your responses, Bruce. There are no jumpers on the GeForce, and I do have a PCI firewire card installed. When I get home tonight, I'll remove the firewire card.

Hi Brian,
Wow, now you really have me scratching my nugget on this one ;)
Have you tried removing other devices that are using PCI slots and trying it?
As well, are there any jumpers on the AGP Card?
Bruce
