Free (FLOSS) software running on a non-free O/S. Hmmm, what a
half-baked notion ...
As for *Win*ders, of course it is a 'losing proposition', in so
many ways. That is one of the reasons OCLUG and others seek to
promote working alternatives to this sad situation where 90%+ of
the population find themselves helplessly addicted to
proprietary operating system software produced by an American
monopoly charging exorbitant fees just to boot up their computer
in the morning and check email. Holy vendor lock-in Batman!
The best way to deal with winders is to, in the words of Timothy
Leary, 'Just Say Know' ;-)
Happy Gnu Year y'all,
Raymond
