Your /etc/resolv.conf might have entries that don't work. Trying
testing each name server listed there like this:
| host www.example.com 192.0.0.2

Yeah, lots of people set up local nameserver caches, though on highspeed
it's generally better to use your ISP's. But if you're waiting more
than say two seconds, something's broken.
