[oclug] Adding a router.

I picked up a Linksys router on the weekend (Etherfast Cable/DSL Router 
BEFSR41).

My main machine that was configured to make the connection on it's own 
using PPPOE. 

Can I use my own firewall in addition to the one provided by Linksys?

If the router is running PPPOE  do I need it on my machines connected to it 
as well?
