Speaking of which, I have allot of trouble believing those
claims that MP3s have increased CD sales. I know I've
rarely baught a CD for that exact reason.
But face the facts, in the past, artists deserved the money
they made from their music. Allot of them were actual
musicians. Now with no talent hookers like Britney Spears
and manufactured signers like American Idol etc. There is
barely any effort put in the tracks...they are computer
generated to sound catch, and after 2 or 3 plays they get
so repetitive you wanna blow your brains out. Why the hell
should I pay for that?
At least with MP3s, if a song is catchy, I can download it
and listen to it and forget about it. Real talent I have NO
objection to pay for. A CD that you can listent to time and
time over again and hear diferent nuances and realise
different musical aspects is well worth the money.
If the music industry wants to keep making money pedaling
this crap, then charge me what its worth. 5$ a CD and I'll
consider it. This approach isnt unlike the one taken in the
past where the prices of LPs were lowered to compete with
tape piracy.
