You know what really bugs me about this kind of article is that they are
rife with mis-statements, mis-directions, and mis-truths, and mistakes. To
wit:
"The GPL is a very viral license, and anything it touches has to be given
away," noted Ted Schadler, principal analyst for Forrester Research.
What a bunch of popycock. It makes me wonder exactly where the "noted"
Ted Schadler got his credentials from - UMFUD? The view that everything
the GPL touches has to be given away is simply wrong. Perhaps the "noted"
principal analyst has another explanation for the hundreds of millions of
dollars that are being made every year that depend on GPL'd software.
