[oclug] NTFS volume Problems and Printer Woes

I have 2 questions.

1. When ever i mount the NTFS partition of my WINXP install i cant access it by any user other than root, this is really pissing me off.

2. MY printer, Which is a Canon S520, will not print anything, it is connected currently by a Parallel connection but could connected by USB as well. (I have tried both connectors to no avail)
