[oclug] terminal fonts, keybindings

    People,

Does anyone know why, using a font of MiscFixed, 10pt, in
gnome-terminal looks very sharp and sweet, but using 10pt fixed in xterm
looks blurry? Is gnome-terminal just rendering the fonts better?

I tried to go back to a simple setup at work, but I'm finding that I
prefer gnome-terminal over xterm now, simply because I can't find a font
for xterm that I like. The default setup hurts my eyes. I've been trying
to tweak it for ages, but getting nowhere. All the fonts I try from
xlsfonts output look like crap.

Also, I find the default gnome setup in Fedora adequate for a
newbie, but Metacity sucks for keybindings. Can anyone suggest a nice
add-on tool for keybindings that I could run that won't conflict? I was
thinking of bbkeys, but I'm not sure.

    Thanks,
    Mike
