Both Sylpheed and Sylpheed-claws have IMAP support that's just as
sucky as Evolution, a little worse in many cases. I tried the latest of
both yesterday, and they fail to indicate new mail in folders until you
actually open them. This with both UW-IMAP and Dovecot.
Also, I have enough folders that it brings Sylpheed to its knees. It
doesn't multithread, so screen refreshes stop for more than a minute
while it's scanning. At least Evolution does that far better.
I'm very disappointed with Linux's gui email offerings. I've heard
good things about Thunderbird, so I might try that.

dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead." -- RFC 1925
