Actually, that's a very intuitive statement I hope wasn't made
sarcastically.  The difference between a sighted programmer and a blind
person is as cultural as it is anything else.  To date, most of the
solutions has been screen magnification and voice interaction.  I'm not
convinced at all this is the whole solution.  I'm working part-time with
some blind people right now through an associate, which is going to get
kind of funny at one point, because I'm a little over 1/2 deaf.
