As stated by someone else, Nedit is pretty nice for a gui editor. It's what I
had been using for a long time, but I always wished it had tabbed windows to
work with several files. I've started using Glimmer
( http://glimmer.sourceforge.net ) and it's pretty nice. Syntax highlighting
for many languages, macro language, options to compile and execute code, etc
(Nedit also has these features). And, the feature that made me change, tabbed
windows.
