i'm using the linux-2.4.20-gentoo-r5 kernel and while i can watch tv (i went 
to gatos.sourceforge.net and downloaded the nessecary X drivers) but tv 
capture is just right out since there's no /dev/video or /dev/v4l and i have 
no idea how to make them appear outside of downloading the "km" kernel module 
and following to o-so-unhelpful instructions (stuff like "fiddle with 
makefile").
