Well I've tried to update E-smith, Mandrake and Red-Hat ISO's and using
"rsync -avv --stats <remote-location> ." where I've renamed the old
ISO's to match the new ones I've never noticed more than a 2% speedup.
Perhaps I'm using it wrong or have an outdated version.
