It's a shame you can't just rsync these things somehow. ISO's probably 
wouldn't work too well, but certainly the directory trees would work great. I 
don't think it's possible though - I believe that the mirror would need to be
running an rsync daemon - is that correct?

I do know that rsync is magic - it takes about 5 or 10 seconds for me to 
update a 23 Meg file across the Internet between my office and home.
