I would tend to think that IRC security and firewalls are 2
separate issues. If you have a decent firewall running, then
that should be that. Fire up either XChat (if you like GUI IRC
clients) or irssi (if you prefer console IRC clients), and visit
us at irc.oclug.on.ca #oclug sometime :)
