[oclug] Evolution problem

I've been having the strangest problem with the Evolution mail program
under Red Hat 9. It was working flawlessly, but today, for no apparent
reason, I kept getting segmentation fault errors whenever I tried to
start the progam. Of course, trying to install or upgrade the program
didn't work (rpm kept saying it's already installed). I had to enter

rpm -Uvh --force evolution....rpm

to install it. Now it seems to be ok (I'm using it right now). Has
anyone experienced anything similar? Some kind of hard disk problem?
File corruption?
