    Job Summary

    Working in the Computer Centre under the authority of the Manager,
    Novell / NT Systems, you will:
    • Provide system support for the centralised Novell, NT and
    Metaframe environment
    • Provide expert advice to administrative programmers and analysts
    • Offer support in current and future University Local Area Network
    servers and desktop workstations

    Qualifications

    • An undergraduate degree in computing and additional on-the-job
    training of three to five years
    • Continued upgrading of recognized NT / Novell certifications
    • Excellent knowledge of computing systems architecture!
    • Experience in programming principles
    • Excellent knowledge of operating system principles
    • Experience with large-scale system operations and procedures
    • Excellent knowledge of Novell networking administration and of NT
    networking administration
    • Excellent knowledge of Metaframe administration, TCP/IP and
    networking protocols and administration
    • Bilingualism (spoken and written)

    The salary scale will be between $49,253 and $67,723, commensurate
    with experience and qualifications.
