[oclug] [OT] Kemptville wireless (again)

Has anyone in the Kemptville area tried to get wireless from Storm and
been told to go hire a boom truck to see how tall a tower is required?

I've located a boom truck operator who's charge is about $300.  If we can
coordinate his/our/Storm's time, we could arrange a number of visits in a
small area and hopefully get our costs down.

Pls contact me off-list if this resembles you and you're interested (ie:
you're not part of the "let me know and I'll think about it" category).
Remember, Storm will require a commitment of installation if their
installers find that service is available at your address, plus you'll be
further committing to paying a portion of the boom truck fee.

If enough people indicate interest, I'll make some inquiries at Storm and
hire the boom truck operator for the day(s).
