I have monitored the list for just over three years. In that time, I
have asked about 90 questions and provided 15 answers. I estimate
that I get a reply for two-thirds of the questions. I tried to get
better data from the mail archive, but its organization does not lend
itself to such searches, at least for my skill level.
I agree with Brian. When there is a flame war or a lot of OT traffic,
the response rate drops markedly. Also, questions asked on a Friday
get fewer replies.
OCLUG is, very much, a mixed community. Some people give their time
freely to help others, and I am among the beneficiaries of their
generosity. To these individuals, my thanks
