I for one am growing concerned about a seeming trend toward intolerance
of others based on rather trivial matters.

I wold like to suggest that this forum is a lot more fun to participate
in if others would be a little tolerant of other peoples quirks.

1) Spelling and grammar - while they both are necessary in lending
credibility to the writer, do they have to invalidate a point?

2) Capitalization and punctuation - while they also lend credibility
they primarily lend readability. But that does not mean that a post is
invalid or impossible to read.

3) Off topic posts - Yes this is a list dedicated to LinuxGNU. But
LinuxGNU does not live in isolation, nor do I. I participate for news
and information about Linux, but I also like hearing what others have to
say about things other than Linux.

I find it odd that some of you get very upset when I trash an piss poor
argument based on un-researched personal bias, when it seems some of you
have no trouble trashing people for what ever whim strikes your fancy
today. And not just trashing them but insulting them, even though they
made intelligent comments to start with (which can not be said of all
the postings made here).

Folks, why don't we focus on the points and not the trivialities like
CAPITAL letters. And why don't we try not to be rude to people who's
"style" we disagree with (like there was some sort of law or something).
