It does run only on Microsoft OS. We (people who find dbtools useful
from time to time) don't necessarily care if we offend the easily
offended. dbtools is a good tool to convert a MS Access database to
MySQL.

By the way, for dbtools to work properly with Access 2000, you have to
update the version of MDAC on the system unless it's running XP or 2000,
in which case it's supposed to already have the correct version of MDAC.
NT or '98 etc. users need an MDAC update. I tried to get dbtools to run
under wine once, but that was quite a while ago - and it didn't work.

Besides, preaching to them is the wrong way to handle that. Even if
they were to agree and switch to Linux without a second thought, they'd
still have to contend with the eventual conversion of all of their
Microsoft formatted data. Once that problem is solved, and it really
should be a kind of single hoop solution, it will be a lot easier to
convince people to switch.
