By all means, if this computer is at all recent (i.e. more than 32 meg of ram)
go get a newer version of Red Hat (or whatever).  If it really is a 'new' 
computer than it is quite likely 7.0 doesn't come with the drivers for your 
equiptment.  Making 7.0 work means cheating yourself out of a lot of neat new 
stuff or endless rounds of updates.  Go for 7.3 or 8.0 if you stick with Red 
Hat.  I'm sure somebody would be willing to help get you some copies if you 
provide the blank cd's.
