This is a very odd piece of software. I fail to understand any benefit
it may provide, except for a few people who need the one or two plug-ins
not yet supported by Linux. Missing from the base install is the
Quicktime Plug-in... (sure its supported, but not part of their
installer and is fiddly to get working properly (never mind the abysmal
frame rate)
Who needs WMP 6.4? That is 3 years out of date and does not support
modern codecs. Who needs Flash six? It is available for Linux. Same for
RP8.0. Yeah Chime is nice for school, but. more importantly why would I
pay the equivalent of $100+cdn a year for the privilege? (35.00 us per
6mos for the CD, or double that for their pointless MS office viewers
which are also available for free elsewhere)
